MARY SMART CONCERTO COMPETITION
Summit Music Festival’s annual MARY SMART CONCERTO COMPETITION offers students a special challenge and an opportunity for public recognition. The competition is open to all registered students in the SMF program and who fully participate in the festival.
REQUIREMENTS:
Senior Division (Age 16 to 35)*
Junior Division (Under Age 16)
All contenders are required to play a movement from a concerto of his or her choice. All selections must be memorized.
* must not be represented by management agency
PRIZES:
Senior Division (Ages 16 to 35)
- 1st Prize: $600 cash award and solo concerto performance with the Festival Orchestra in 2023 concert series
- 2nd Prize: $300 cash award, and solo recital in the Summit Music Festival’s 2023 concert series
- 3rd Prize: $150 cash award, and special mention in the final program of the 2023 Festival
Junior Division (Under Age 16)
- 1st Prize: $300 cash award, and solo performance with the Festival Orchestra in 2023 concert series
- 2nd Prize: $150 cash award, and special mention in the final program of the 2023 Festival
- 3rd Prize: $75 cash award and special mention in the final program of the 2023 Festival
NO ADDITIONAL FEE IS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO THE COMPETITION
